Experiment Excerpt
Samuel's chains rattled as he looked up at the sound of the door to his cell opening. The manacles dug into his swollen wrists, reopening the cuts they had made there before. Samuel's toes brushed the ground, and his arms ached from the deadweight of his body. He groaned and let his head drop back to his chest when he saw it was only Dr. Caesar at the door, the man who kept him bound there.
Caesar shut the door firmly and crossed his arms over his chest as he observed Samuel.
